Overview

Tasks

Tasks are scheduled based on priorities of projects and order of tasks is also considered while scheduling tasks. The task that appears first is scheduled first. If tasks have due dates, then they will be scheduled based on the due date set and would not follow the standard scheduling approach.

New task

If you want to schedule a task from the project differently than other tasks then you can set the due date for the task.

If you create the task from upcoming tasks sidebar, it will automatically have a due date in order to keep it at the highest priority possible.

Task status

You can change status of task in various ways. You can drag and drop tasks in different columns. You can also use bulk actions to change status at once. You can also use Task detail view to change the status.

Sorting tasks

The project board supports drag and drop to organize tasks. Order of tasks are important because it dictates the order in which tickets will be processed by the team. Hence, Todo, In progress and Cancelled do not support automatic sorting.

However, in the completed column do support automatic sorting so that you can play back in which order the tickets were created or completed.

Sorting completed tasks

Auto assign

If you have multiple members capable of doing certain tasks but you are not sure who is available, you can use auto-assign feature. Auto assign only affects tasks which are not started, and does not have a manually assigned user.

New task

A common use case is for example if a project has 20 tasks. User A is required to do 5 specific tasks, but other 15 tasks can be done by any other resource. In this case 5 tasks can be manually assigned, and 15 tasks can be auto-assigned between people who are least busy.
